The beautiful artist, Rose O’Neill created the Kewpies in 1909 where there had not been any before in the world. She was born in Pennsylvania and she displayed a fine talent for arts in her childhood. As an adult, she created fine arts, sculpture, novels and poems. |

Who named “Kewpie”? Rose O’Neill did. As Rose explained, “Cupid play a trick to the heart but I hope Kewpies bring only Happy to the people”. And she named “KEWPIE” to her creation. |

The place Kewpies live is Kewpieville. “Kewpieville” appeared in magazine stories in 1925 by Rose O’Neill. Her Kewpieville had all the important elements of a contemporary theme park - a castle, a gate, shopping streets, fancy transportation, parade and hotel.
